Math 18/6/2020

M A T H

At the moment in math we have been learning more about area
this is one of my work sheets form yesterday. I am getting a lot better at area every day and improving on my math in general.

Easy:
Rylin uses 4 pieces of wood to make a rectangle shaped planter box. 2 pieces are 1m long each. The other 2 pieces are 4m long each. How many metres of wood does he use AND what is the area of the box?

Medium:
Rylin uses 4 pieces of wood to make a rectangle shaped planter box. 2 pieces are 4m long each. The other 2 pieces are 5m long each. How many metres of wood does he use AND what is the area of the box?

Difficult:
Rylin uses 4 pieces of wood to make a rectangle shaped border for a garden. 2 pieces are 20m long each. The other 2 pieces are 40m long each. How many metres of wood does he use AND what is the area of the box?

How you did it.

Easy:                                                                 Hard:
P= 1+1+4+4=10m                                            P= 20+20+40+40=120m
A= LxH = 1x4=4m2                                        A= 20x40=800m2

Medium:
P= 4+4+5+5=18m
A= LxH = 20m2
